Most important of all, tell your Senators, your Representative, and media people “Thank you” in emails, faxes, letters, and telephone calls to their offices, and in letters to the editor of your local newspaper, when they take stands, register votes, and write editorials or columns designed to help break America’s addiction to population growth!
There is a minority of politicians, program producers, editors, columnists, and journalists who are more concerned about America’s future quality of life than they are about the quantity of constituents, readers, viewers, and listeners they attract. When you find them, they deserve your support and your “Thanks.” A brief “Thank you” note will help to counteract some of the beatings about the neck and shoulders such populationist politicians and media people take every day for trying to protect America’s future. |

CHAPTER 13: TREATMENT AND WITHDRAWAL – CONTRIBUTE TIME, MONEY, AND/OR ENERGY
Don’t Blame God
Remember, overpopulation in America is not an act of God--it is an act of Congress. As fellow populationist David M. Bell wrote:
“The demographic consequences of decades of reckless mass immigration policy have already placed us on a disastrous population trajectory running well ahead of even the highest estimate of the U.S. Census Bureau, an estimate that portends a billion people within this century. If this future is not averted through immediate and significant reductions in current immigration levels, such population momentum will result in America squandering its natural legacy and the country mortgaging its future with overpopulation, environmental degradation, wage and living standard depression, balkanization, and terrorism.”
Future generations of Americans are counting on you to contribute your thinking, your money, your time and/or your energy to prevent this dismal prediction from becoming reality. Please don’t let them down! Decide for yourself how many are enough. Decide what you want the population of America to be. Then, do what you can do to help America break its addiction to population growth. |
